Ramblings of a small town girl living in suburbia
I pulled a rookie move today. Little Pia needs (almost) two things in life to be happy: 1) food, lots of it, usually two fisted, and 2) his blankie & puppy. Right, so a blankie and puppy are technically two things, but I may as well sew them together because they are usually attached to one another.
These poor lovies were getting thrashed and needed a good washing. But it’s hard to fit in a wash and dry when these mama’s-little-helpers are my ticket to naptime. So I rushed downstairs with blankie & puppy wrapped up in a pile of laundry…Little Pia’s keen superbaby eyes spotted them peeking out…and chaos ensued. Screaming, crying, pulling them out of the washer, banging the washer door as water poured over his poor little cuddlethings. Bonehead move, Mom!
Sheesh, you’d think I just hopped on the mama train yesterday. File that one in the ever-expanding “lesson learned” folder.
He’s happy again:
